someone left
the gate to heaven open,
I can see the light
like thousands of stars
shining through your eyes.

we’re dancing so close
our souls are touching
for a moment,
like my fingers
caressing the nape of your neck.

your skin is

will you soften

licking lapping, sucking slurping
She fed on me, my juices gushing
Her tongue turned me on,
flicking my clit like a light switch.

Hello there y'all. Long time, no blog. At least not here that is. The book is currently in its second proof stage and just a mere week away before we begin production. I look forward to the book release party, which I hope will be at New Moon with a signing following. I'm also planning a special limo ride for my friends afterwards since I have never been in a limo before. :-)

smoothly

Things are moving along smoothly. I got permissions from Norton to put a quote from Audrey Lorde's poem "A Litany for Survival" in my book. Curve magazine, She magazine, and author Karen Dale Wolman have expressed interest in reviewing the book for back cover review comments- that is SO exciting for me.

The reading went off VERY well. We had around 50 women attending and over half expressed interest in buying my book. This month I start hosting the poetry workshops at Stonewall Library & Archives. Good things are happening and I am making them happen.

Manuscript sent.

On the write again...

This weekend I am doing a final edit on my manuscript before sending it off to my publisher. I can smell the ink! The Good Parts should definately be out by this summer. I'm doing a pre-publication reading at Cafe Mixx Jan 26 @ 7:30 pm with two other amazing female poets. After I'm published, I'll have to see about setting up reading/signings at Pride Factory and the feminist book store in Santa Cruz. Before then, I'll have to print up some business cards :-)
